What J & J Ink sells, and what shoppers ask
J & J Ink prints custom apparel and promotional merchandise in Springfield, Illinois, for businesses, schools, teams and events, through a WooCommerce store of about 99 products. The first buyers to use the chat asked exactly what a custom-print customer asks: do you have this team's hats, do you have its merchandise at all, is there a black short-sleeve tee, is shipping free, how long does delivery take.
Every one of those conversations started at the weekend or outside 9 to 6 Central time, when a print shop is closed.
What they connected, and what the assistant answers from
The shop installed the Vatdi WordPress plugin in late August 2026 on the Grow plan and had its first conversation the next day. It synced 99 products, 13 pages, the shipping and policy documents and 10 FAQs, so a product question is answered from the store's own listings.
Asked for a specific association's hats, the assistant listed the matching flat-bill and low-profile styles with their materials and closures. Asked whether the shop carries that association's merchandise at all, it listed the koozies, tees and hats it stocks. Asked for a black short-sleeve T-shirt, it returned the black, white and navy options. Asked about free shipping, it confirmed it from the shipping page.
Asked how long delivery takes, it said it did not have that information and pointed the buyer to the team, because the delivery page did not yet state a time. That is the intended behaviour: no invented promise on a custom order.
What the dashboard shows
Five conversations and 14 visitor messages so far, all handled without staff, with a median first reply of 15 seconds, all of them at times the shop was closed. These are early figures from a store that connected three weeks ago and are labelled as such; they will be replaced after a full quarter.
Published 16 September 2026 with J & J Ink's permission. Figures are read from the store's own Vatdi dashboard for the period stated, with Vatdi's internal test traffic excluded. No figure on this page is an estimate.
